The Vermont Invasive Patrollers (VIP) Program is focused on aquatic invasive plant species, while the Vermont Invasive Patrollers for Animals (VIPA) Program is focused on aquatic invasive animal species. We offer free online workshops and in-person workshops/paddle sessions which include aquatic invasive species identification, biology, and lake ecology; aquatic invasive species threats to native species; surveying and monitoring techniques; and overview of invasive plant treatment methods and tools.

Finally, we would like to remind anyone who listed volunteer plant surveys in their ANC Grant Application that volunteers should attend a training, and that we will anticipate receiving the survey results in the fall with the rest of the grant deliverables.
